Situated along the peaceful banks of the river Swalm you can find our hotel * * * "The Barking Rabbit ".

In Flemish it is called "Het Blaffend Konijn"

It was an ancient brewery ( 1794 ) wich has been transformed in a hotel with 10 fully equipt rooms. Each room has a shower, toilet, color TV, interphone, telephone, hotspot internet, etc...

We also are situated at about 4 km (5 min drive) of the city " Zottegem ".

Zottegem is well known, by our British customers for its high quality clinic "St Elizabeth".

We provide a shuttle service between the clinic and our hotel. We bring you and/or your relatives to the clinic and after the procedures, bring you both back to the hotel.

If necessary we can bring you to the airport in Brussels International or even to the airport in Brussels Charleroi ! ( please ask for the adjusted prices).

Did you realise we are well situated to great battlefields-tours. They are only a few miles away.

To give you an example:

Waterloo (45km), Kortrijk (59km), Charleroi (83km), Ypres (91km), Mons (115km), Arras (137km), Cambrais (163km)

Guests who wish to visit the above places by train, may do so from the main little station at Zottegem.

A taxi service is available to and from the hotel.

The attractions of Bruges and Brussels speak for themselves ! However for Military History buffs the Battlefields associated with the Napoleonic Wars ( Waterloo-Charleroi area ) and the First World War, are easely reached from the hotel.

And, by the way, the owner - of course - speaks English !
